Never ever try to proofread your own writing. It’s a basic rule that one should never violate. But sometimes you don’t have any choice. With Terry out of town, I had to proofread yesterday’s blog myself. In that blog, while talking about my new WYZE Bulb Cam Smart Security Camera I said that I was embarrassed with it. I intended to say I was impressed with it, but oops. Several readers caught the typo and alerted me and I fixed it. But not before a number of readers saw the mistake. The good news is, Terry is back home now, and hopefully she can keep me on the straight and narrow.
As I’ve said before, we have been called codependent more than once because we love spending all of our time together. That’s all right, call it what you will, but it’s what makes us happy. So I sure was glad to see her when she got back yesterday afternoon after being down in the Apache Junction area with her folks for a few days. Alli is my Velcro dog and follows me everywhere I go, but she loves Terry just as much. Things went crazy when Terry walked in the door. She was whining, jumping, running around in circles, and wiggling every inch of her body. And the dog was just as bad. It took a while to get both of them settled down. 😊
It took the cats a bit longer to acknowledge her presence. It’s bad enough that she was gone, but she left me in charge of the place in her absence. Yeah, I’d be ticked off too if I were one of them. Terry’s dad is doing well after his terrible fall. Terry didn’t come home until she knew that between her sisters and the in-home hospice nurse for her mom, and health care professionals for her father, they would be well monitored and taken care of.
It’s Thursday, so it’s time for a new Free Drawing. This week’s prize is an autographed copy of The Ghost of Marlow House, the first book in the Haunting Danielle cozy paranormal mystery series by Bobbi Holmes, who was featured in this week’s Author Spotlight.
When Danielle Boatman inherits Marlow House, she dreams of turning it into a seaside bed and breakfast. Since she’s never visited the property, Danielle’s not sure what awaits her in Oregon. She certainly doesn’t expect to find one of the house’s previous owners still in residence. After all, the man has been dead for almost ninety years—shouldn’t he have moved on by now? Charming Walt Marlow convinces Danielle the only way he can move on is if she solves the mystery of his death. Danielle soon discovers her real problems may come from the living—those who have their sights on Marlow House’s other secrets.

To enter, click on this Free Drawing link or the tab at the top of this page and enter your name (first and last) in the comments section at the bottom of that page (not this one). Only one entry per person per drawing please, and you must enter with your real name. To prevent spam or multiple entries, the names of cartoon or movie characters are not allowed. The winner will be drawn Sunday evening. Note: Due to the high shipping cost of printed books and Amazon restrictions on e-books to foreign countries, only entries with US addresses and e-mail addresses are allowed. After 30 days, unclaimed prizes revert back to the drawing pool for a future contest.

Thought For The Day – People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Its such a scare that Terry’s dad fell. But I’m sure its such a comfort that Terry can just get in the car and drive down. Im thinking you both found your FOREVER HOME. I LOVE & ADMIRE your family bond. And now you’ll get the experience of the new baby. Life can’t get much better can it?
