We’ve been busy with birthdays this month, and we close out April with yet another of them. Today is our granddaughter Destiny’s birthday. It wasn’t all that long ago that she was always happy to crawl up on Grandpa’s leg for a hug.
Now she’s a grown-up, beautiful young woman who impresses us every day. She will be graduating from high school in a few weeks, and right after that, she will also graduate from the cosmetology program at Northland Pioneer College.
She is a hard worker with a good head on her shoulders and goals in life that she is going to accomplish. No question about that. Destiny has been going to her senior year of high school for half a day and going to college classes the other half. All that and working at a restaurant and doing beautiful nails for people on her “free” time. She has already built up quite a clientele and has a job lined up at one of the local salons once she gets her license.
Besides all that, she is the most kind-hearted, loving person I have ever known. Yeah, I’m probably a little bit biased in that, but if you knew Destiny like we do, I’m pretty sure you’d feel the same way.
