We had a busy day yesterday. Terry had a doctor’s appointment at 10:30 to see if they could suggest something to help with her terrible allergies. The shot she had a week or so ago didn’t do any good. Besides sneezing and the itchy eyes that make her feel like she wants to gouge them out, she now has a rash across her chest. Everybody is having allergy problems this time of year, but we think the chest thing is because of a different reason. We just don’t know what it is yet. The doctor gave her a prescription and suggested using nasal irrigation to clear the sinuses and using a humidifier in the bedroom at night. I sure hope that gives her some relief.
When we were done at the doctor’s office, we went to Walmart to pick up the prescription, a humidifier, and the other things the doctor recommended. While we were there, we also picked up a few grocery items.
Our next stop was at Ace Hardware in Show Low to get a bottle of Marc 55 drain cleaner that Kenny recommended. Then we went next door to the post office to mail off a book order. We got there a few minutes after noon and there was quite a line, but it moved fairly quickly.
From there, we went to Consume, our local marijuana dispensary, to pick up the CBD capsules that Terry uses for inflammation and some stuff to help me sleep. Then our last stop was at Brimhall Landscape Supply to get a quote on getting a truckload of cinders delivered to do the pathways in the backyard and fill in some thin spots in the driveway. Since we are going down to Apache Junction to see Terry’s parents on Thursday and Friday, I’ll wait until next week to schedule the delivery.
Declan, the porch cat, was waiting for us when we got home, full of purrs and head bumps. We have a lot of feral cats around here, and Declan was born feral but has become very friendly and always wants our attention. She’ll let me pick her up and hold her without a struggle, but after I saw this picture of me that Terry took with Declan yesterday, I realize that I’ve become an old man. When the hell did that happen? For the record, I do not approve.
It was a windy, overcast day with occasional rain showers, which put an end to any yard work I had planned to do outside. Instead, I re-read the teaser chapter for my next book, Big Lake Homecoming, tweaked it a bit, and made notes for where I want the story to go. Now, if the characters will actually let me do that remains to be seen. They do have a way of taking over and sending things in a completely different direction whenever they want to. We’ll see how that goes as the story progresses.

Have it curved and have a cul-de-sac with a swing or park bench with upright clumping grass; like pampas or some kind of desert vertical plants/grass.
If you are having drainage problems, make sure you have drainage (dry holes) dug along the sides.
I am not saying that I agree that you look like an old man, but I can tell you that as someone who lost about 120 pounds in a fairly short time, after being overweight for about 45 years, my skin is much more wrinkled and I look much older than when fat was filling out my face and body. Since you have lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time, that is probably happening to you, too.

If the sinus washes don’t help Terry, suggest she sees an ENT. They can look in her sinuses and it’s not painful. In my case, it’s usually a sinus infection and allergies. If she has issues with antibiotics, they can prescribe topical ones which are placed in the sinus rinse and not taken by mouth.
I’m having trouble believing that is you in that photo. What a difference! It’s enough to make me consider asking my doctor to switch me from Ozempic to Mounjaro. I sure would like to be skinny again. I wonder how old that would make me look?
