My new book, Debt Collector, went live on Amazon yesterday evening. I uploaded the book at 7:08, and in just over an hour it was available to download or to read on Kindle Unlimited.
This is my 62nd book, and the 14th in my John Lee Quarrels series about a small town cop in the Florida Panhandle. It’s the story of a serial predator attacking women in different parts of the country, a series of crimes that may have its roots in John Lee’s backyard.
I had hoped to have the book out before now, but between family events, one of my proofreaders being sidelined, and Miss Terry having a terrible bout of allergies, it just didn’t happen. But as they say, “better late than never.” The print edition and the audiobook will follow in a couple of weeks.
Today I will finish my free author’s newsletter announcing the new book and get it sent out to all of my subscribers. Then I will start sending out notices of the new release to different social media and blogs that help publicize new books.
Speaking of books, yesterday, the mailman delivered several autographed books by my friend Darlene Miller that will be used as prizes in our weekly drawings. Darlene has been a big supporter of the blog drawings and of my work for many years, and I appreciate her very much.
After I get all the publicity details for this new book out and have time to catch my breath and maybe spend some time getting the yard and garden ready for summer, it will be time to jump into Big Lake Homecoming, followed by The Forgotten Years, the next book in the Tinder Street family saga. I can never retire or die because I have too many books left to write, and more ideas are coming to me all the time. I guess I can call it job security. 😊
