It is definitely warming up here in the White Mountains. It was in the 70s yesterday, and starting today it’s going to be in the 80s for several days. It’s definitely time to be thinking about getting the yard in shape and the garden and greenhouse ready to go.
I was running an errand yesterday when suddenly the radio and A/C in my truck shut off. I got a message on the screen saying that it was turning off some systems to save battery power. When I got home, I called son-in-law Kenny, and he said he would bring his scanner over after work and see if he could figure out what’s going on. When he and Tiffany arrived, he put his scanner on it and determined that it was probably the hybrid battery pack. Unfortunately, Dodge vehicles have a proprietary system and he doesn’t have the software update to be able to tell for sure if that’s the problem, so I guess I will be making an appointment with the local dealer to have them take a look at it.
Later on, we went to Licano’s Steakhouse, which is also a Mexican restaurant, for dinner. Terry had a combination plate. Kenny and Tiffany shared a Mexican pizza, and I had a ribeye steak. The food was very good, and so was the service.
After dinner, we went to their house to meet Clover, a little Blue Heeler puppy that just joined the family. She’s only a few weeks old and full of love and spunk. Not to mention sharp puppy teeth! Did you know that Blue Heelers are also called Australian Cattle dogs, can trace their roots back to the wild Dingoes of Australia. They are excellent working dogs with high energy, and are totally devoted to protecting those they love, whether it be a herd livestock they are charged with caring for or their family. I’m sure little Clover is going to grow up to be an amazing dog.
