Never Stopped All Day

Yesterday was a very busy day for both of us. Terry was getting all the paperwork together to send to our accountant to get our 2025 taxes wrapped up and filed. That took a while because things got rather disorganized during our move to Arizona from Alabama, and then in running back and forth to Apache Junction to see her parents. She wasn’t feeling well, but nothing ever stops Terry when she gets started on something. She told me she wasn’t going to quit until she was finished.

Meanwhile, I was at my computer all day working on my new John Lee Quarrels book, Debt Collector. I got three more chapters finished, read through and corrected, and today I will print out several more chapters for Terry to begin the editing and proofreading process. Neither of us stopped all day, and it was somewhere close to 8 p.m. before we decided to have a quick supper of cheese crisps and watch a little bit of television.

We decided on a movie called Convicts on Amazon Prime. It stars James Earl Jones and Robert Duvall and is set on a Texas sugar plantation in 1903. With two heavy-hitting actors like them, we expected more from it than we got. When it was finally over, I told Terry that was 93 minutes of our lives that we’ll never get back.

While we were busy working all day, our critters were living a life of ease. Here is Mamie, just hanging out and being cute, which she doesn’t have to work very hard to accomplish.
