Tuna Steaks And Expensive Cars

Yesterday was a nice day, even if the weather was gray and nasty. After our morning cuddle session, we went to North Country Health Care for a quick doctor’s appointment. The primary care provider we have been seeing, Terilyn Brasher, is leaving the practice, and instead we saw Jessica Boone, who will now be our primary care provider. We saw Jessica once before when she was filling in for Terilyn during her maternity leave, and just like Terilyn, she’s also very good and very competent.

Among other things, I wanted to talk to her about increasing my weekly Mounjaro dosage. I have been doing 5mg injections weekly, and as I’ve said before, I have lost 80 pounds since the end of February last year. However, I seem to have hit a plateau. In the last six weeks or so, I will go up a pound, down a pound, up a pound, down a pound, and never make any real progress. This happens, and it’s usually a sign that you need to increase the dosage. Jessica agreed and switched me from 5mg to 7.5mg. Let’s see how that works out.

When we left the office, we went to the RV dealer where we have had our Airstream B van on consignment and picked it up and brought it home. It’s been there since August, and though he’s had some people look at it, nobody has bought it. Now that it’s winter, and we won’t have summer visitors here for a few months. I’m going to try to advertise it locally and online and see if we can get some action.

Back at home, Judy Rinehimer had sent back her suggested corrections to the first five chapters of Debt Collector, and I made them. Then I went through the last chapter I wrote, changed some things, and smoothed it out a little bit.

Later, Tiffany and Kenny came over and we watched the Barrett-Jackson car auction out of Scottsdale. They sure had some nice vehicles there, and some of them fetched amazing prices, as much as $500,000 for one. I like old cars, but that’s way out of my price range.

For dinner, Terry made delicious pan-seared sesame seed encrusted tuna steaks with wasabi, baked potatoes, and broccoli, along with melt-in-your-mouth, homemade angel biscuits. Everything was delicious, as always. At least the tuna, baked potato, and biscuits were. I passed on the broccoli, but everybody else said they were good, too.
