Yesterday afternoon I finished writing the last paragraphs of Baby Boom, the seventh book in my Tinder Street family saga. That makes sixty books for me since I began this wild ride, and I’m still having as much fun as I did when I started. I printed those last chapters off for Terry to edit and proofread today, and when she’s done and I make her suggested corrections, they’ll go to Roberta and Judy to do their thing. Then the final manuscript is off to the formatter. When that’s completed, it will be uploaded to Amazon.
I am hoping we can get everything wrapped up and get the book out by the end of the month. This is only my second book this year, while I usually do at least four. But between moving and everything else, my schedule is totally off kilter for this year. Even so, I hope to get Big Lake Parolee done by the end of the year. Wish me luck!
My writing schedule may be slow, but Terry never slows down. We all know that. She’s always busy with something. Yesterday, she spent some time in her greenhouse tending to the plants she has growing in there.
These geraniums are looking really good, and the kale just never stops.
While she was at it, she picked some tomatoes and peppers that were ready for harvest.
Of course, that wasn’t enough for one day. She also installed some new solar lights along the walkways in the front yard.
Besides that, she did laundry, made a delicious dinner of aglio e olio, and baked some amazing made from scratch pecan cookies. Only a few because she’s trying to help me stay honest with my weight loss program. But the two I ate were delicious.
I’m not sure what’s on the schedule for today. I need a little bit of a break from the computer and I have some projects here I need to get finished if I can. They include hanging my collection of police badges up in the office and, hopefully, getting a little more organization done in the garage. I might even celebrate finishing my new book by going out to dinner. Besides, today is my 73rd birthday, which means I finally caught up with Miss Terry. Yes, she’s a cradle robber. 🙂

Second..regarding cookies..you might suggest to Terry that when she makes up that next batch of cookies, instead of cooking all the batter, form them in whatever shape she does and then freeze them all except 2 or 3, or however many you want now, usually 2 apiece,. Then when you want some more you pull them from the freezer and cook them…then you have hot delicious cookies straight from the oven. Result is your eating in moderation…good for the diet. 😃
