Another Task Done

After taking Ally out for her morning potty break and ball chasing, Terry and I had mixed berries for breakfast yesterday morning. Both of us had a lot to get done, and once we finished eating, we set to it.

Terry’s day was going to be devoted to doing laundry, getting our end of month bills arranged so she could send out checks, doing some paperwork and planning dinner.

I started off answering several emails, including one pointing out a couple of typos in my new Baby Boom book. No matter how closely we proofread, something always slips past us, darn it! That’s one reason I always release the e-books first, because it’s easy to go back and change mistakes. With the print books and audiobooks, it’s much more difficult.

After I made those corrections, I got busy on another task that has been on the back burner while I finished Baby Boom. That was to resurrect my website, which has been neglected for quite a while. Recently, BookBub created a new tool for authors called Author Websites, which made it very easy to create a website and update it with all of my books. The hardest part of that was getting all the books in my different series listed in order. I also included a place for people to sign up for my newsletter. It’s still a work in progress, and I will be refining it as I go. In the meantime, you’re welcome to check it out at www.nickrussellbooks.com.

With that task done, I pulled up the first chapter of my next book, Big Lake Parolee, and read through it and the notes I had made for the book to get myself back into that setting. I’ll probably goof off today and then start writing it Monday morning. It’s always nice to come home to Big Lake.
