This Could Get Ugly

Kenny came over yesterday afternoon with his friend Jordan to move our old refrigerator out to the garage. But before they could do that they had to take off the doors and the freezer up from the bottom, along with our front door. Even then it was a tight fit.

Once they got it in the garage, Kenny and Tiffany reassembled it, plugged it in, and it’s ready to go. It’s empty right now, but I’m sure it won’t take us long to fill it up. They also loaded our old gas range up to take to Kenny and Tiffany’s house to replace the much older stove they have been using. Thanks guys and Tiffany, we really appreciate your help.

It’s a terrifying thought but Miss Terry is leaving me today. No, not forever, although we all know she could do a lot better. She is going down to Apache Junction to take her father Pete to another appointment at Mayo Hospital in Scottsdale. The appointment is tomorrow morning, and depending on how soon they get done there she may come back tomorrow, or she may stay with her parents another night. We have too many elk, deer, and cows wandering around the roads at night and we try not to drive after dark if we can help it.

Wanting to be sure I won’t starve to death while she’s gone, she baked a couple of loaves of delicious banana bread last night to hold me over until her return.

In the meantime, it’s going to be just me, the dog, and the two cats with no adult supervision. Wish me luck. This could get ugly, folks!
