We are still far from having all the boxes opened and their contents put away, but we have made a lot of progress and are getting settled in. I found my underwear and Terry found her coffeepot, so all is right with the world.
Terry loves her greenhouse, and I know she will be spending a lot of time in there.

The couple we bought the house from had kale, peppers, tomatoes, and several other things growing, which gives Terry a good head start. There are also two raised garden beds on the other side of the house with some delicious strawberries growing.

Tiffany and Kenny and their kids have been coming over every day, carrying boxes and furniture inside from the garage. They are all working but still find time to help us.
Monday was the exception because our street was closed for resurfacing. A crew came down the street spraying an adhesive, followed by a second crew laying down an asphalt type surface material.

The street remained closed for several hours while the material dried, and with the project finished, the street looked very nice.

I spent all afternoon yesterday waiting for a representative from Dish to get our system set up. The appointment was scheduled for some time between noon and 5 p.m., with a call an hour before the tech arrived. When nobody had shown up by 4:30 I was getting frustrated, so I went online to see if there was a number to call to see why I had not heard anything. That’s when I realized I had my days messed up. The appointment is really for today. With so much going on we have both lost track of what day it is.
It will be good to get back to our regular schedule. I need to get a lot of writing done.
And finally, here’s a chuckle to start your day from the collection of funny signs we see in our travels and that our readers share with us.

Thought For The Day – Make each mistake a steppingstone. Learn from it and never go back.

Ok. Enough of that moving stuff. I’m going through Tender Street withdrawals right now. 😂
