A Lot Done

I love taking Alli out in the morning and seeing the tall Ponderosa pines reaching into the blue sky. And we are sure not missing the high humidity of Alabama!

We have been getting a lot done around here the last few days and our new house is feeling more and more like home. As we bring boxes in from the garage and go through them, we are finding most of the things we need every day.

After rearranging the living room furniture to give us more of a cozy feel, Terry and I worked in the garage yesterday afternoon. By the time our backs said “enough” and it was time to stop we had consolidated things to give us much more usable space. We also cleared one wall of the garage to give us room to put up a couple of storage shelves, which will also help organize things.

Tiffany and Kenny had been in Phoenix and stopped in to see us when they got back to town, about 7:30. By then we were hungry, so after Kenny tightened the leaking drainpipe in our guest bathroom, we all went to Bison Ranch for dinner. Granddaughter Destiny joined us soon after we arrived, and it was nice visiting with everybody while we ate. We are definitely enjoying spending time with our family.

Speaking of family, we plan to go down to Apache Junction to see Terry’s mom and dad for a few days. I know they are looking forward to seeing her, and we are looking forward to seeing them, too. The weatherman says the Phoenix area is looking at temperatures up to 115 degrees by the middle of the week. The air conditioning will be getting a real workout.
