I finished the last corrections to Pucker Factor and will finish formatting the e-book this morning and get it uploaded to Amazon. Hopefully it will be available sometime this afternoon or evening. I will have an official announcement on social media and in tomorrow’s blog once it goes live.
A couple of people have asked about the title. For those unfamiliar with the term, this is how John Lee explains it to a friend in the book – “Cops, soldiers, pilots, anybody who has been in a life-threatening situation knows all about it. It’s when your sphincter tightens up so much it feels like it’s pulling your shorts right up inside of you.” I know what he’s talking about. I have experienced it a time or two myself.
I plan to take a day or two off to catch my breath and go through my notes for my next book, Big Lake Drunk, and then get started on it between several medical appointments we have in the next couple of weeks.
Sometimes I need a little break from researching and writing, and one way I do that is by doing online jigsaw puzzles. As some of you know from reading the blog, our son Travis is both an accomplished photographer as well as a gardener. A few days ago, he sent me a picture of a basket of things from his garden, and I turned it into a jigsaw puzzle. Here is a link if you’d like to check it out.
And finally, here’s a chuckle to start your day from the collection of funny signs we see in our travels and that our readers share with us.
Today is your last chance to enter our Free Drawing for an autographed copy of Written in Blood by Nathan Bush. The first book in Nathan’s the Foley Chronicles: Files from the 8th District is the story of rookie detective Ken Collins investigating a serial killer who begins mutilating prostitutes in the 8th District. Working with his partner, Senior Detective John Filcher, the duo is on the hunt for a brutal and efficient killer who leaves no trail to follow.
To enter, click on this Free Drawing link or the tab at the top of this page and enter your name (first and last) in the comments section at the bottom of that page (not this one). Only one entry per person per drawing please, and you must enter with your real name. To prevent spam or multiple entries, the names of cartoon or movie characters are not allowed. The winner will be drawn this evening. Note: Due to the high shipping cost of printed books and Amazon restrictions on e-books and audiobooks to foreign countries, only entries with US addresses and e-mail addresses are allowed
Thought For The Day – My moods don’t just swing. They bounce, pivot, recoil, rebound, oscillate, fluctuate, and occasionally pirouette.
