Thanks Gwen

The combination of Delta 8 and Cymbalta seems to be keeping the worst of the pain at bay, but all I wanted to do was sleep yesterday. And while my body appreciated that, I need to be able to function at the same time. So I need to do a little more balancing, cutting the amount of Delta 8 I have been using now that the prescription medicine is in the mix.

I’ve seen a trend more and more over the last five years or so of medical professionals being receptive, and some even encouraging patients who use medical marijuana or any of its legal derivatives instead of or as a supplement to pharmaceuticals. And while I never smoked pot or had any interest in drugs, there’s no question in my mind that it works. After years of having the VA hand me opioids for my back pain, even though I avoided taking them more than I should have, as soon as I started using the medical marijuana oil, I stopped the pain pills and never needed another one. And so far, Delta 8 gummies are legal every place that we are going to be on our trip, including states like Texas, which do not allow medical marijuana.

During the afternoon, our friend Gwen McMichael brought over some Young Living essential oil for pain relief that she says her husband Jay uses quite successfully. She also brought Terry a beautiful little potted plant. Thanks, Gwen, it was nice to see you again, and I appreciate it.

I answered a few e-mails but I couldn’t keep my eyes open, so I sat in my recliner and snoozed for quite a while. While I was doing that, Terry was shortening and hemming some shirts and pants for me. What would I do without her? It’s hard to buy clothes off the rack in Dwarf Portly size.

And finally, here’s a chuckle to start your day from the collection of funny signs we see in our travels and that our readers share with us.

Be sure to enter our latest Free Drawing. This week’s prize is an RV camping journal donated by Barbara House. Barbara makes several variations of these, and they all have pages where you can list the date, weather, where you traveled to and from that day, beginning and ending mileage, campground information including amenities at RV sites, a place for campground reviews, room to record activities, people met along the way, reminders of places to see and things to do the next time you’re in the area, and a page for notes for each day.

To enter, click on this Free Drawing link or the tab at the top of this page and enter your name (first and last) in the comments section at the bottom of that page (not this one). Only one entry per person per drawing please, and you must enter with your real name. To prevent spam or multiple entries, the names of cartoon or movie characters are not allowed. The winner will be drawn Sunday evening. Note: Due to the high shipping cost of printed books and Amazon restrictions on e-books to foreign countries, only entries with US addresses and e-mail addresses are allowed.

Thought For The Day Storm season is beginning. If a news van pulls into your driveway, remember, teeth and bras, people. Teeth and bras.
