It seemed like I was busy all day yesterday, but at the same time it didn’t seem like I accomplished anything at all. Some days are like that, I guess.

I started the day wading through a bunch of emails. Several of them wanted information that I didn’t know off the top of my head and I had to do some research to find the answers for them. Two seemed pretty involved and I wasn’t able to get very far into their problems. I’m not sure I’ll be much help to either one of them.

Around noon I left to take a friend to a doctor’s appointment, which didn’t take very long at all before we were out and headed back home. I think he liked riding in my new Mustang. I know that every time I drive it, I like it even more.

I wasn’t home for long before we left again, headed to Coastal Integrative Healthcare for chiropractic adjustments for both of us. I have a follow-up appointment this coming week with the neurosurgeon that did my facet injections, hoping they would relieve my back pain. They didn’t, and while the medical marijuana oil knocks the pain level down noticeably, I’m hoping for something more effective and more long-term. So, we’ll see what Plan B is.

With that out of the way, we made a stop at Walgreens to pick up a prescription, then it was back home. A while back I found an antique sword at a flea market, and when we got home Terry and I hung it up on the wall above the stairs that lead from the main part of the house down to my office. Okay, if you want to nitpick, I held tools and screws and things like that and handed them to Terry while she did the work. If I would have attempted something like that on my own, I probably would have impaled myself on the sword.

Then I read through the 4,000 words I wrote in my new Big Lake book the other day, making corrections and polishing things up a bit.

Aside from the delicious dinner Miss Terry prepared and watching a couple of episodes of the new season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime afterward, that was pretty much it for the day. Like I said, busy, but not much accomplished. And probably pretty boring to read about, too. I’ll try to find something more interesting for tomorrow’s blog.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for something interesting to read right now, my friend Donna McNicol is running a holiday special you don’t want to miss out on; books 1-3 of her C’Mon Inn Mystery Trilogy set in Hawaii. For the next three days you can get all three books for just $5.99. That’s a lot of fun reading for not much money. Click this link to get this special limited time deal.

Have you entered our latest Free Drawing yet? This week’s prize is an audiobook of Stillborn Armadillos, the first book in my John Lee Quarrels mystery series. To enter, all you have to do is click on this Free Drawing link or the tab at the top of this page and enter your name (first and last) in the comments section at the bottom of that page (not this one). Only one entry per person per drawing please, and you must enter with your real name. To prevent spam or multiple entries, the names of cartoon or movie characters are not allowed. The winner will be drawn Sunday evening.

Thought For The Day – Remember that without stupidity there wouldn’t be intelligence, and without ugliness there wouldn’t be beauty. So the world needs you after all.
