After being on the go so much the last few days, we spoiled ourselves by sleeping in yesterday morning. The sites on both sides of us were occupied by diesel pushers owned by friends of ours, and both had told us they were leaving early and hoped they did not disturb us too much as they were getting ready to pull out. They need not have worried, we were both dead to the world.

When we did get up, we spent most of the day answering a backlog of e-mails and doing some catch up chores here at home. Sometime in the afternoon I walked over to Russ and Debbie Davis’ truck conversion and visited for a while. Actually, visiting with Russ was just an excuse, I was really there to pet their sweet old yellow Lab. She’s twelve years old and about the most mellow dog you’ll ever know. When she wants to go for a walk, she just picks her leash in her mouth and takes herself if no humans want to come along!

I also downloaded the audiobook files for Dog’s Run, which bestselling narrator Eric Dove just finished. Now I have to get to work reviewing the book so it will be available sometime in February. I’m really excited about this audiobook because Eric has narrated books for some of the best known authors around.

Late in the afternoon we drove into town to see cousin Beverly and take her to dinner. We love spending time with her when we’re in Tucson and take advantage of every opportunity to do so. Beverly’s granddaughter is a Girl Scout, and we picked up a few boxes of cookies while we were there. Gotta love the cookies!

Back at home, we both worked on projects until it was late and we were getting too tired to concentrate, then we headed for bed.

I’m usually pretty current on the news, but since we’ve been so busy I somehow missed this bad news from Elkhart, Indiana, where we usually spend some time every year. We’ve shopped in the same store where this happened!

When somebody sent me this picture, I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you, since several of our readers have smart cars. I just don’t want any of you to get into trouble.
