Our most recent promotion, our Holiday Subscription Special, has been so successful that Miss Terry was busy all day Saturday just logging all the orders in, when she would have much preferred to be test driving her new loom.
But yesterday she just couldn’t wait any longer and had to get to work on it. I get dizzy just looking at all those lines of thread, levers, foot pedals, and such, but Terry has been researching looms for months now, watching You Tube videos, and reading everything about them so she dove right in.
As you can see from her smile, this is one happy lady! It makes my heart smile to see her so happy.
During the afternoon our friends Bob Parker and Donna Huffer came by for a visit and we had a nice time, as we always do when we get together with them. They plan to come back today for a last get together before we leave here Wednesday.
Shortly after they left, Doug and Julie Livingston showed up. Julie took the great photo on the cover of our last issue, which shows our motorhome heading west along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon, with Mount Hood in the distance. They spent some time this past summer volunteering at San Juan Island National Historical Park in Washington state, and it was interesting to hear about their experiences. If we ever get so rich we don’t have to work for a living, I’d love to volunteer at some of the historical sites around the country. I guess I’d need to write a whole lot more books to make that happen, right?
