A Serious Case Of Lazy

Yesterday I came down with a serious case of lazy and did not accomplish one thing all day long. And I don’t even feel guilty about it!

There were a lot of things that I should have been doing, including working on my new Big Lake  book, but I just couldn’t get myself motivated.

I spent most of the day goofing off on the computer, posting on one of the online authors’ forums I participate in, reading a few blogs I have not had time to catch up with lately, and exchanging e-mails with some of my author friends.

About 4:30 PM we went for a ride, just exploring some of the areas around Titusville that we had not seen before. As I wrote a couple of days ago, we are nowhere close to being ready to hang up the keys, but the more we see of this friendly, laid back community on the Space Coast, the more we are convinced that when that day does come, this may well be our future home.

Eventually we worked up an appetite and decided to try Valentino’s New York Style Pizza and Restaurant. We have eaten at their Washington Street restaurant several times in previous trips to Titusville and have always been very happy with the food and service. This time we tried their second location, on Garden Street in the Publix shopping center. We were pleased to discover that it was just as good.

Back home, it was more of the same. I goofed around on the computer all evening and watched television. I keep thinking I should feel guilty for being so lazy, but I don’t.

Our friends Jim and Chris Guld from Geeks on Tour and Phil and Tracey May from TechnoRV never seem to have time to be lazy. Right now they are working at The Rally in Daytona and it won’t be long before their Techno-Geek Learning Rally, which will be held at Paradise Oaks Golf and RV Resort in Bushnell, Florida, December 2-8. If you want to learn how to get the most from your computer, digital camera, or smart phone, you really need to make plans now to attend. And knowing what I do about this fun loving foursome, there’ll be plenty of time for good eats and good time too. I hope we see you there.

Maybe today I’ll get something accomplished. I’d better, or Miss Terry might kick me to the curb. And who could blame her?

Thought For The Day – Whoever said money can’t buy happiness has obviously never been inside a bakery.
