Today the madness starts. My blogs for the next few days may be shorter than usual, because we’ll be getting up early and working late.
When all of the seminars are over for the day, the door prizes are passed out, and the buildings swept out and locked up for the night, we still have a lot of work left to do. We need to count every RV and vending trailer on the fairgrounds to turn in a daily report to the fairgrounds for accounting purposes, we need to reconcile our records for all sales of books, CDs, T- shirts and such, and print out more free campground guides, fairgrounds camping guides, and such, and whatever else we need. Oh, and did I mention that somewhere along the way, we usually try to grab a bite to eat? It’s a lot of work, but it’s a lot of fun too, believe it or not.
Yesterday afternoon our advance parking crew arrived and dry camped overnight, so they will be ready to start parking RVs as soon as the last of the Good Sam rally leaves and the fairgrounds staff gives the place a quick inspection to close out their event and start on ours.
It sure was good to see so many familiar faces, as well as a few new ones too. We appreciate all of our friends who come here and work so hard to make the rally a success for everybody. You all are the best!
If you want to have your RV weighed (and if you haven’t had it done lately, you really need to), Paul and Doris Cunningham from RV Weigh will be out in the front parking lot ready to take care of you. Their phone number is 714-329-3499, if you want to call them in advance of your arrival.
For the folks who are staying at local RV parks and want to come to the rally on day passes, cost is $5/person per day.
We look forward to seeing everybody. Let the games begin!
Thought For The Day – Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.
