Hot Pizza & Bad Nick

It’s been cold the last couple of days, and downright freezing at night. I guess it’s time to start heading for Arizona, my work here is done. 🙂

Actually, in spite of a couple of cold snaps, we’ve had pretty good weather in Florida this winter, much better than last year. But we’ve sure been giving our heat pump and portable space heater a workout lately!

Miss Terry woke up with a scratchy throat and headache yesterday morning, which progressed into a general achiness as the day went on. Between that and the cold weather, it was a good day to stay inside and get some things done. Terry spent most of the day dealing with paperwork, and getting some orders ready to mail out, and I got a lot of writing done.

I received a message from the book printer, requesting a minor change to the cover layout for Big Lake, and after I got that finished and uploaded, I worked on a new book project for most of the day. I believe in setting goals for myself, they keep me focused on where I’m at and where I’m going. One of my goals for this year is to write three new books, and I’ve already started on two of them. It’s too early to go into any details, but so far things are moving along nicely.

During the late afternoon, I did some work on the schedule for our upcoming Arizona Gypsy Journal rally, and posted it on the rally registration page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and check it out. There are still a lot of seminar slots left to fill, and we’ll be making changes as we go along, but it will give you an idea of what we have planned. If you have an idea for a seminar you’d like to see, or present, send me an e-mail at and we’ll see what we can come up with. If you are a vendor who is planning on coming to the rally, and have not registered yet or submitted your seminar request, please do so quickly. We have a limited number of slots left, and if you wait too long, they’ll all be gone and you’ll lose out.

Even when she’s not feeling well, nothing slows Terry down. For dinner she made pizza, and I’ll tell you something, I never understood the term sinfully delicious until I bit into a slice. Wow! I’ve eaten pizza from coast to coast and border to border, and I’ve never had anything that even came close.

After dinner, I wrote for a while longer, while we watched some old movies on TV, and Terry was back at work on her paperwork. I don’t know where it all comes from, but it never seems to go away, and the pile never seems to get any smaller, no matter how many hours Terry works at it.

Bad Nick was been way too quiet lately, mostly because I’ve been hogging the keyboard, but yesterday he finally took over and wrote a new Bad Nick Blog post titled It’s Horrible, But I Understand. Check it out and leave a comment.

  1. What is Miss Terry’s secret for having her baked items look so evenly browned? We’ve had our new motorhome a year, with its convection oven instead of the gas oven we’d had in the past. I love it but sure can’t get results like she does. Maybe I have to practice, practice, practice…..

Safe travels when you head west. Sorry we’ll miss you both by the time we get to Florida.

  2. Wish that “thought of the day” was one I could remember BEFORE I lose my temper!

  3. Hi Missy Terry
I would like to order a medium pizza to go just like you show in the blog.
Please forward it to Canada ASAP.

    It sure looks yummy!
    Our mouths are watering.

    Can’t wait for delivery.

    Safe travels, Kathy & Rick

  4. At last the truth is out. Nick and Terry use old issues of the Gypsy Journal to put under freshly baked pizza.

  5. Don’t hurry to AZ. It’s been a cold enough winter without adding you to the mix….lol. Hey, how about the recipe for the pizza. Looks good.
